My stance on gay marriage(I have the same views on this as I do on drugs) Is that consenting adults can do what they want with their body as long as it doesn't step in on anyone's human rights. I don't see how gays are hurting anyone, so we should just let them be.

I also saw a point that was made about being careful not to infringe upon the rights of religious organizations. I don't see this being possible, especially when speaking of abrahamic religions. I don't even care what religious views people have for not allowing gay marriage just for the fact that religious views have no place in government.

Good thing that wouldn't happen with the legalization of gay marriage, since religion has nothing to do with marriage.

Not entirely correct;

"Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it [is] abomination." - Leviticus 18:22

Homosexuality itself is condemned in the Testaments, Same sex marriage is never mentioned. However, if gays and their desires are identified as shameful, marriage should be included.

His point is that religion doesn't hold the monopoly on marriage in these days. Good thing if you ask me.

We are talking about legal marriage. The thing that gives you tax benefits, power of attorney to act on your partners behalf and about 1000 other legal benefits.
Not about a ceremony in front of God/Allah/JHWH/Brahma/Zeus/Odin/The sacred bones of your ancestors or the flying spaghetti monster.
Getting an education was a bit like a communicable sexual disease.
It made you unsuitable for a lot of jobs and then you had the urge to pass it on.

You have it all wrong, the Old Testament was just refering to slumber parties. Only girls are allowed to have sexy slumber parties. God wasn't a homophobe, he was just a frathouse manager.

Just so. Why should Yahweh's opinion on anything matter to people who don't acknowledge him? Though I have to admit that I agree with him on not eating insects. Or hyraxes ... uhm, hyraces ... hyra ... things whose names you can't pronounce.

I believe people should be allowed to marry who they want and as many as they want. I think the government should (state and federal) stay out of it and allow churches and institutions worry about these kinds of things.

"Institutions"? What "institutions"? The Arkham Home for the Criminally Insane?

I like marriage being a secular affair, thank you. If you want a bit of religious hand-waving and mumbo-jumbo as icing on your cake, feel free.

It's a hit and run poster. Not much of a fight ;)

Besides, as I said, the Bible does not define marriage that way. Solomon was married after all, and not to just one woman.
