The simple answer is that they're probably jealous, we the straggling nation have somehow become a superpower in half the time of most and we have yet to lose even a tiny war that would not matter in the end. We are able to conquer any nation we so please but we have enough restraint not to, so we decide, we'll defend, from YOUR country.

So, everyone hates because we have a big military ready to kill and they don't, simple.

America doesn't have the power to conquer any nation it pleases. The recent brushfire wars that have involved America have all been against (basically) third-world countries with military technology which is at best twenty years behind your own. Go try to conquer Russia or China, or anyone else on a comparable technology level, and we'll see how that works out for you.

Besides, once you conquer one nation, you have to leave an occupation force otherwise they'll just say "fuck you!" and go back to what they were doing. And the more occupation forces you leave, the less able to conquer subsequent nations you become.

And the more nations you try to conquer, the more likely the rest of the world is to band together and fight you as a single power. And nobody can fight the rest of the world all at once - Nazi Germany tried, and failed. America could try, but it would fail.

Secondly, you've seen how much debt America is in, right? It's absurd, and more than you're going to be able to pay off any time soon. Said debt is mostly due to the incompetent leadership of George W Bush, and also due to the Congress who let the idiot spend about $14 trillion that you didn't have, on wars that you didn't need to fight.

Thirdly, I doubt any nation being posted from at the moment is more fucked up than America, on the following points -

-You are the ONLY nation ever to have used atomic weapons in anger, and shielded the people responsible from the war crimes trials that they should have been sent to. -You prop up some of the most fascist dictators in the history of the world, notably every non-leftist dictator in central and south america over the past century.

-You supply weapons to brutal regimes who have recently started using these weapons on their own people. And even then, you continue to supply them with weapons.

-America's greed for drugs is effectively causing a civil war in Mexico at the moment in which thousands of people are being killed so you can get your kicks.

-Certain states are allowed to teach Creationism as a serious theory, which it is not. Evolution is the only widely accepted, and only widely evidenced, theory of our presence on this planet.
