Furries in your nation?

How are furries treated in your nation? Are they banned and shunned apon? Or are tolerated and embraced? In Yuktova, Furries are tolerated, but the people in fur-suits are often laughed at. Anime with arthromorphic animals, such as Foxes, are highly popular in our nation...

OOC: I am assuming you know what a "furry" is, so please no posts abour "What the hell is a Furry?", but I will try and give you an accurate definition of what they are if you ask... Also, sorry for the big picture, not easy finding appropriate photos of these things....

Non-Human Mammalians, aka "Furries", do exist, though mainly in the semi-autonomous Regions. The Furries in question are:

Horses
Zebras
Foxes
Wolves

The former two are more common than the latter two though. And they are tolerated, though they're mocked for their mammalian status and their possessing fur.

In Xanicea, being a furry is seen as a discreet choice of lifestyle and is acceptable in the eyes of the public. Many furries walk in the public spectrum, often without people knowing (being a furry isn't exactly a very public hobby). Extreme furries (those who wear animal costumes) are allowed but often looked down upon as intentionally drawing attention towards themselves without purpose, although most furries in Xanicea are content to appreciate their hobby through art mediums (animated/anime, drawings, etc.) and are not publicly making a spectacle out of themselves. Several dozen major furry clubs exist in Xanicea, all of which are fully tolerated and accepted in everyday society. The military even has its own furry club (over 500,000 members strong) which is privately funded and operated in the interest of servicemen who are self-proclaimed furries.

Fur-suiting is technically legal. However, the violent society of CM lends itself to a certain self-regulation in such matters, and open fur-suiters rarely last long.

Actual 'furries' are subject to the Non-Human Regulation Act of 1998, and subject to execution by the Moralite Legions after a medical examination.

Fur-suiting might be seen as some weird fetish in Vhearun's Empire, but furries as in anthropomorphics are as accepted as any race that doesn't actively go against Vhearun's rule.

Um, it's hard to say. Transformation technology enables any Human to transform themselves into the member of any non-Human sapient species in Saurisia.

That said, well, there's bound to be a few Furries, albeit in very small numbers.

Furries are usually a combination of being either ignored or severely mocked by the majority of the Volmachtian population due to their bizarre fetishes and absurd and foolish obsession with being an animal. "Anthro" art is collected up and burned en masse, and the occasional freak foxgirl is burned upon a stake as an abomination of nature.

As a matter of legality, the government has no authority to block them. As a matter of social taboo, it ranges from 'only' being blacklisted and ostracized to vandalism and assault on your person if word gets out that you possess such material.
