Not at the present, though.

Unfortunately, one of the big reasons for that is the fact that they're an Islamic majority nation.

I'm really relaxed. It's Friday, I got a bottle of beer and I'm cooking a pizza.

Guess I really need to choke down a salad first. Trying to get healthy.

If you have a diet soda with the pizza it cancels a lot of the calories. Or you could try starving, like my relatives did, courtesy of the Turks (just to not completely threadjack).

At least they're actually there (and there are hundreds of thousands in nearby North Iraq), unlike the Greeks whose population in Turkey numbers 2,500.

That's because the greeks, who were guaranteed protection in the peace treaty, suffered an extreme amount of discrimination in taxation, education etc and thus most of them were forced to leave.

I see. Well, reports of the Assyrians killed and removed run between 250,000 and 750,000. I guess that's not enough. Too bad for them.

It is no longer under the list of topics I bookmarked. Perhaps it was deleted? But I am very sure there was such a topic. I can name people whom I can recall commenting on it.

Many more turks live in the area as such the assyrians would not compose a majority of the population.

They would be if the refugees and descendants had a right of return.

Hatay was once an independent republic. Should it secede, and become sovereign again?
