1. Really? You know that a good portion of your classmates are "yuppie fags"? Even if it's true, what's that supposed to mean?
2. Ryan as a female name is not weird. Nor is Agatha, Kristofer, Anders, Ezekiel, Cortez, Tobias, or Mack.
3. You are aware that Ezekiel is a Biblical name, correct?
1. Not the classmates; their parents. And given that North Boise experienced the second-greatest growth in the Treasure Valley during the Second White Flight (circa 2005) in one of the ten-fastest growing regions in the US, I'd say it's fair to say there are a lot of Californians there. It's practically a suburb of Fresno.
2. The hell it isn't. That makes about as much sense as naming your son Brittany.
3. I sure am. How many people do you know with that name?
EDIT: I suppose there is the Amish... but that just further proves my pointRambhutan wrote:
Like Hernan Cortez the white European conquistador?
Like the name that many Latino parents give to their children?

I understand Ryan, Kristofer, Anders, Ezekiel, Tobias and Mack as strictly male names.

Okay, we get that you want her to be stalked by a creepy undead loner, but everyone else also wants their daughter to be turned into a blood-sucking monster by an antisocial walking corpse! Try something less popular.
(Seriously, Isabella is #1 for female first names right now, and Jacob is #1 for male first names. I weep for humanity.)
I've also met girls named Ocean and Sahara ... Sahara isn't so bad, but still.
I have, in the past, threatened to name any prospective daughters I may have Arwen and Eowyn, because I am a huge nerd, but I'm highly unlikely to actually go through with that. They'll end up with respectable names like Victoria or Margaret.
