Also, it's quite easy to feel persecuted as an atheist, I'd imagine. People constantly attacking you for being different, it'd really be no different than any other kind of discrimination and persecution.

Actually, it's you who think magic was involved. We "believe" (I hate using that word in this context but it will have to do) that natural processes - chemistry and physics - caused life to appear.

I think more Christians would do that to atheists rather than atheists to Christians. The majority of atheists I've known in real life were really nice and everything, and they didn't give a shit about what religious beliefs you had.

But Christians....

Ok, living with a christian family, with lots of christian friends, some points I may not understand, but Yes, I am sure athiests are nice. But I have never ever seen a lets bash athiets thing. period.

Umm... have you read genesis? You believe it all happened in a week. For no reason other than a 2000 year old book says so. There are countless studies which support the idea that life arose from non-living organic substances and took billions of years to evolve into the forms we see them in now.
