Yeah, nobody ever writes posts that actually make a point.
Ever.
Oh, no, no.
It's just that your point sucks.

There was no counter. There was a poor attempt at sarcasm that didn't actually make a point.
Or was it your argument that we should just let people view child porn because illegal things are always going to happen, so why bother trying to stop them?

All images of kittens are pornography since they don't wear clothing.

No, but you're close.
It was more like prosecuting viewers/possessors of child porn isn't going to have any positive effect on society.

I have already said why it is in the public interest to prosecute these people. That makes it your turn to say why it wouldn't be.
And "because I say so" isn't an argument.

And no, you haven't done anything of the sort. You said that the supply creates the demand - but what, exactly, is prosecuting parts of the demand going to do other than lock a few people who haven't truly done anything wrong away? The supply is still going to be there. No amount of prosecution or executions is going to remove it.
Hold yourself to your own standards, please.

I shall put this in simple terms for you to understand.
If no one wants something, no one makes it.
It is a very basic principle, and explains why companies go out of business. We need to make child porn the General Motors of the criminal world.

You seem to think that it's possible to remove the 'demand' half from the equation, but it isn't.
It's a pointless demographic to target.

In that case, I'm sure I can find loads of the things I want at a knock down price out there, as long as I'm not picky as to where they've come from.
You don't mind if someone comes and steals your computer, then I have it, do you? After all, my 'want' for it is something you can't prevent, and so it's pointless to target me for being involved in such a way.

Authorities in Florida said a man charged with possessing of more than 1,000 images of child pornography on his computer blamed the downloads on his cat.
Martin County Sheriff's detectives said Keith Griffin, 48, of Jensen Beach, was charged Wednesday with 10 counts of possession of child pornography stemming from the more than 1,000 images a detective found on his computer, TCPalm.com reported Friday.
Detectives said Griffin told them he would commonly leave his computer on and his cat would download strange materials by walking on the keyboard. He was taken to the Martin County Jail in lieu of $250,000 bail.

I don't believe the cat owner. Cats don't download child porn.

Again, I bow to your overwhelming logic. The conversation can essentially be summarised as follow:
"This is my argument".
"That's not true!!!!"
"Actually, it is, for this reason."
"It's still not true!!!!"
"Do you actually have a point to make?"
"er...strawman!!!!"
We must do this again sometime.

Pretty sure that guy got charged with obscenity, not child porn. Still getting arrested for lolicon is bloody ridiculous.
