Of course, if one were to apply a modicum of logic to scripture, one would realize that when Jesus is referred to as the "image of the invisible God", "the Word of God", etc, one could say that Jesus was so LIKE God, that it was like seeing God.

In a similar way as if you saw my Nephew, which, oddly, looks almost exactly like me at his age. In a few years, he might wind up looking just like me. One could then say that if you had seen him, you would have "seen" me "also".

It's quite clear, to me, from an analytical look at Scripture, that it refers to Jesus as a powerful being, much like God, but subordinate to God.
