Regarding the hate thing... Lets see what God hates:

Proverbs 6:16-19 These six things doth the LORD hate: yea, seven are an abomination unto him: A proud look, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood, An heart that deviseth wicked imaginations, feet that be swift in running to mischief, A false witness that speaketh lies, and he that soweth discord among brethren.

So out of the seven things god hates this man represents 6 of them...

There is no evidence that the God of the bible hates that 70 year old man or "gays" But God sure hates Thomas who killed that 70 year old man... for 6 different reasons.

Revelation 21:8
But ... murderers and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.

Seems that according to this guys God he's going to be thrown into a lake of fire because his god HATES him. lol

Can you name a time when atheists made it illegal to believe that the Earth revolved around the sun?

That homosexuals are a bane upon humanity?

Killed thousands of muslims?

And that he'll get a homophobic jury/judge that will lesson the sentence from premeditated murder to something more likley to have him see the outside of a jail cell sometime during his life.

To be fair we have very little recorded history of atheists. I don't believe that people are horrible because of religion. I think that some people are horrible... and they will use religion, communism, statism, even anarchism as a way to try to excuse their horrible behavior.

I'm pointing out that his point is incredibly false.

I'm not saying that what the guy did is because of what he says it is.

Umm, an executor of a will is not a beneficiary. Unless the US systems differs wildly from the UK system.

I don't mind but in fairness it should really be done by a mob of vigilantes, not the state, the same way stoning was done in the bible.

Let the guy out during a gay pride march, tie him to a post and promise no prosecution for anything done to him within a 60 hour period.

Most gay people are far to nice to throw a rock at even someone who wants to kill them.

but I suspect you could find one or two who would agree to compose a mob of stone throwers ;)

No? Well, fancy that.

Nah, I can't really name a time when an atheist killed thousands of Muslims. Or thought that homosexuals were a 'bane upon humanity'. Or when they made it illegal to believe that the Earth revolved around the sun.

However, I can name a few fellas whom were atheist, and what their actions were throughout life:

-Joseph Stalin: A guy out of Russia. Some say he killed anywhere from one million to thirty million.
-Pol Pot: A guy out of Asia. Some say he killed anywhere from one million to two million.
-Than Shwe: A guy out of Burma/Myanmar. Rules an oppresive regime over an Asian nation.
-Kim Jong-il: No words needed.
-Mao Zedong: A guy out of China. Destroyed years of history, killed and oppressed many scholars, and burnt many copies of the Quran.

Mind you, I'm not trying to get into a fight about whether more atheists or more theists commited crimes on the Earth. Because we all know the answer: Theists have done more harm to the Earth than atheists. I'm merely trying to say that it's idiotic to say that bad people are only theists. Because when you think of it, (this is really corny, so prepare yourself) we're all humans. And that means we can all cause harm.

That's because you can't do anything in the name of atheism. Atheism is the lack of beliefs. You can't base an argument on the lack of nothing. Plain and simple. It's a negative argument.

It shouldn't make you sick to your stomach because it does say that in the bible. But note how it says he read it in the old testament. The old testament were man made rules. Well at least he was following the bible unlike the gay dude.
