I do not understand this arguement

If athiesm is defined somewhat as: "in a broad sense, the rejection of belief in the existence of deities.[1] In a narrower sense, atheism is specifically the position that there are no deities.[2] Most inclusively, atheism is simply the absence of belief that any deities exist.[3] Atheism is contrasted with theism,[4][5] which in its most general form is the belief that at least one deity exists.[5][6]"

Then how does being a christian, who believes in a god, have an athiestic part?

Bluth believes that a Christian only follows the teachings of Jesus and nothing more, and that Jesus wasn't the son of any god or the messiah of anything but a teacher only, and that everyone else is part of some Cult of Jesus or some such thing.

Funny, he thinks that because of what he believes involves only jesus, it applies to all christians..

True, I suppose.

Though I must say, the other crucified people with him are my favorite characters in the Bible.

Eh, I assume its often a two way street; Don't expect to be able to force people to adhere to what you happen to believe is moral and right.

So basically some cultist know it all has the power to dictate who is and is not a christian based on his version of the truth?

Eh, from personal observation, Bluth does seem more Christ-like than some of the more... Vocal, lets say, Christians on the board.

He's rather tolerant and accepting, from, as I said, observation. And, being the character in question, I think I can say with utmost certainty that he's quite like the figure he seeks to emulate.

Its a rather good one, even if it doesn't mean much. As I recall, "Christ-like" figures are quite good people in literature, all around good people who somehow don't break in to the Mary Sue category.

Do you know what a Christian is?

A Christian is someone who recognizes the divinity of the teachings of Jesus of Nazareth, the Christ, which we should embrace not because Jesus is the supposed son of god (he can't be, since there is no god) but because we know deep within ourselves that those teachings are true and the best way to live among others. We revere Jesus of Nazareth, the Christ, because he was the originator of the tradition in which we came to know those teachings. Those who have come to those teachings through other traditions should rightly revere the respective founders of those traditions for the same reason.

There is another group of people, the cult of Jesus and Jehovah, who fail to see the truth of the divinity of Jesus's teachings and so felt compelled to invent the myth of the divinity of Jesus's person. Those people are responsible for the fabrications, falsifications, and corruptions such as the miracles, the resurrection, virgin birth, etc. that one finds in the New Testament, as well as the establishment of the communities known as the Churches.

Well I do not know Bluth as well as you do then, but all in all I'm just referring to him outright saying there are only a few thousand christians, that all of them do not believe in a god and that those who do are not real christians

I mean...am I missing something here?
