You find it logical that life spontaneously formed?

If you look hard enough, you can find logical flaws in either the explanation that life formed spontaneously or was consciously created (maybe the Stewie Griffon method? ). More research must be conducted before a decision can be made with 100% certainty.

Then we get into the debate about how were those particles formed

Screw it, how any part of this universe came to be formed, how the concept of anything existed before anything, but even though one could say god made it all

Where did that god come from?

That right there is the answer that will never be solved with empirical proof and not just via some religious book, the question of how did anything come to exist, was it always existing, who said it had to exist, but then there has to be something over nothing because there will alwa

I'm going to get a brain hemorrage if I think about this question that is not designed for humans to answer :(

Under the earth, more likely.

Once, when a well-known composer had died, William S. Gilbert was at a gathering when someone asked after the departed musician. "What is he doing now?" they asked. And an eager young person exclaimed, "Composing, surely!" To which Gilbert answered, "No, decomposing."

Rhodmhire wrote:The burden of proof lies with the theists who make the positive claim that there is/are a god, gods, and so forth. Atheists should never try to prove the negative that there is/are no god, gods. I think that atheists who try are wasting their time.

eh, 'prove' is a weird concept. there do seem to be some pretty logically compelling arguments against the existence of any of the gods people routinely worship, though.

the basic immediate consequence of looking at the world is that at least some of the gods posited to exist are false, obviously. too many flatly incompatible gods. so then we have to try to sort out which ones. the only method is to rely on reporting of experiences with the gods - what else could there be? except it turns out that everybody claims to have those. so that tells us that at least some alleged divine encounters are false. well shit, that not only leaves us nowhere but also means that the remaining explanations are that none of those encounters are real or the gods really don't give a shit about humans and our claimed experiences of them are at best accidental encounters that the gods don't care to make use of to be clear about anything. since the people that have these feel like they actually had very clear experiences, the former is the more likely option. but in either case, no gods posited by religions can reasonably be believed to be true.

you can get the same result through what i call the geographic problem - why is it that you never have two cultures independently come up with the same religion, but rather the distribution of religions looks exactly like you would expect if it was just yet another bit of cultural baggage (like pottery styles!) that flows according historical processes such as wars of conquest and shit? the only plausible explanations are that either the gods don't give a shit about humans or there are no gods. therefore all religions' gods are false.

and on the individual religion level, well, all the ones i have any knowledge of have their gods doing things we know didn't happen. so those are just obviously not real.

anyway, since the only possible gods wind up being ones that don't give a shit about humans and that we have no evidence for the existence of, believing they exist is actually somewhat crazy. the only ones that wind up being maybe ok but slightly weird to believe in are the sort of utterly aloof 'necessary being'-type gods. and that's only because those sorts of metaphysical arguments are fundamentally weird and squishy.

I know people who have studied islam for so many years and they concluded the exact same thing,

There will always be that self internal bias, you must admit

I think such a study would need to be based by an absolutely non biased government using a massive supercomputer database compiling every single peice of information from every single religious book, speaker and organization, comparing them and listing discrepancies, then leaving that up for debate
