Thank you. It wasn't entirely selfless, mind you - the money I saved went a long way towards setting myself up to get my degree and a (so far) good civilian life. I'd recommend it for anyone who wants to go into further education, the four years pass by fast and you can really learn a lot.

ROTC can do much the same thing in the US, but it may not cover all expenses.

We had an ROTC lieutenant for a while. Much more on the ball than the two Academy graduates I served under!

Well, we still have the specter of the '60s hanging around when we would spit on GIs and call them baby killers.

Well, I'm not quite that old... :D
I served in the late 1980s. Things were a lot better by then.

Yeah, the '60 were a bad time for everyone. We made some pretty sweet cars though...

Completely agree. Well the feminazis had their way with the governmental butthole in the 60's.

I know. The 80's were a decade where everyone in America decided to put on weight and do nothing at the same time.

Lol. Why are you still talking? Clearly, no one here cares about your opinion. You've had your whole argument shredded. You only remain to get "revenge" by ridiculing others. It's time to grow up now.

well, I dunno about you, but I have to wipe the spittle off my screen after every post because I'm shouting everything I type at my monitor right now.
The Empire of Pretantia wrote:[...] TLDR; welcome to the internet. Bicker or GTFO.
"Why is self-control, autonomy, such a threat to authority? Because the person who controls himself, who is his own master, has no need for an authority to be his master. This, then, renders authority unemployed. What is he to do if he cannot control others? To be sure, he could mind his own business. But that is a fatuous answer, for those who are satisfied to mind their own business do not aspire to become authorities." ~ Thomas Szasz

What are you talking about? Every country accepts that another country can conquer it's land. How do you think France got the Rhineland?

That first line doesn't relate to the argument. I was just being an ass. Though I was wrong, another example was brought up which nullified your argument. I'll work on my perfection too.

Also, this proves my earlier statement right. You're really only here to ridicule because you have no argument left.

So he mistook the Rhineland for Alsace/Lorraine. You still OCCUPIED the Rhineland for a decade (and the Ruhr for a year) to enforce your stupid "revanche".

Also, you did not know that France did not control the Rhineland either, for you kept the conversation going without correcting me. Dododecapod was the one who corrected me.

You don't have to be an expert to have an idea about something. But the least you can do is learning the basics.
You know shit about France, French morals, Rhineland and Israel. Maybe it's better to be silent about things you know shit, boy.

Lol well it's true I know little about France. Though you seemed to have proved my impression of French morals was nearly correct. You didn't know about the Rhineland either. Clearly, I knew more about Israel than you for it was you who lost the argument.....

Making a mistake about European history circa 1920 doesn't mean he's in any way wrong about Middle Eastern recent days.

I want to smoke what you're smoking. I don't know what it is, but it's certainly illegal and it seems fun.

It's called crystal meth and it's incredible. My dealer's name is LaMarcus and he sells around 5th street if you want to hit him up.

What are you? His lover?

Anyway, even if he used Alsace/Lorraine correctly, that situation is entirely different as the situation in Israel.

Really? One nation attacks another. The attacker gets hammered, and the defender takes some of the attacker's land for himself. Pretty damn similar, I'd say.
