My political compass points north and stands as an independent in local elections.

I don't like it so far.

It seems to have many of the same flaws as the political compass quiz: loaded or unclear questions, an insufficient range of possible answers, no "I don't really care" option, etc. To some degree I suppose it also measures personal preferences, not exactly what one would vote for in an election.

63% Economic Leftist
81% Anarchist
100% Anti-Militarist
100% Socio-Cultural Liberal
95% Civil Libertarian

As for the political compass... my scores there have varied so wildly that I don't really know what to think. When answering according to how I'd run a nation, I'm fairly close to the center. On occasions I've even crossed into the authoritarian side. When answering according to preference/philosophy, I'm way down near the bottom. I just don't bother with it anymore.

I never really like the political compass because it always puts me near centralist and I hate the cetralist parties and disagree with most centralist opinions. I just had an add set of beliefs that can not be described with a mere two numeric values.

Plus when I look at the political compass for the Australian parties I see the Greens appear as the most centralist.

ARE YOU KIDDING ME!

the greens are preety much all round against business, for the enviornment and in favour of people doing whatever the hell they want. They just disguise their social policies.

For the Australian parties they state both are very close in terms of politics. Thats highly interesting as the Liberals have a history of taxing less and spending less whilst the ALP is far more experimenting with its policies and keen to follow unions and their demands for "rights"

I can only reach the conclusion that the site was created by a socialist due to the wording of some questions. Either that or the creator is cluless about so much in Australian politics and has not been able to create a accurate compass as of yet.

One persons freedom is always at the expense of another. There are these dam laws in this country of mine preventing me from saying "hi" to my neighbour with a baseball bat. All I want to do is have my freedom of expression so he looses his freedom of movement.

In my sig, I'm somewhere right in the middle of the "Left-Libertarian" quadrant.

"Never be deceived that the rich will permit you to vote away their wealth." - Lucy Parsons
Socialism is an economic system characterised by social ownership of the means of production and co-operative management of the economy. "Social ownership" may refer to cooperative enterprises, common ownership, state ownership, citizen ownership of equity, or any combination of these. There are many varieties of socialism and there is no single definition encapsulating all of them. They differ in the type of social ownership they advocate, the degree to which they rely on markets or planning, how management is to be organised within productive institutions, and the role of the state in constructing socialism.

However, I agree with Kevin Carson's analysis of the quiz.

Speaking of which, my C4SS quiz result:

83% Economic Leftist (Economic Leftist / Economic Rightist)
88% Anarchist (Anarchist / Statist)
96% Anti-Militarist (Anti-Militarist / Militarist)
100% Socio-Cultural Liberal (Socio-Cultural Liberal / Socio-Cultural Conservative)
93% Civil Libertarian (Civil Libertarian / Civil Authoritarian)

Thanks for completing the quiz!

How you scored:

44% Economic Leftist (Economic Leftist / Economic Rightist)
41% Statist (Anarchist / Statist)
43% Anti-Militarist (Anti-Militarist / Militarist)
80% Socio-Cultural Liberal (Socio-Cultural Liberal / Socio-Cultural Conservative)
37% Civil Libertarian (Civil Libertarian / Civil Authoritarian)
a left social libertarian (all on a scale 0-10 with a direction: 0 centrist 10 extreme)
Left over right: 5.99
Libertarian over authoritarian: 4.2,
non-interventionist over neo-con: 5.14
Cultural liberal over cultural conservative: 7.6

You are a cosmopolitan Social Democrat. 16 percent of the test participators are in the same category and 5 percent are more extremist than you.

Numbers written with an apostrophe are in dozenal unless otherwise noted.
For example, 0'3 = 0.25, and 100' = 144.

Ratios are measured in perunums instead of percent.
1 perunum = 100 percent = 84' percent

yeah I don't really like how that quiz is worded, doesn't seem worthwhile. IDK if I think I need a quiz to tell me how I feel anyway. I'll just tell ya:
I am very anti-authoritarian on social issues, somewhat less so on economic issues (moderately pro-capitalism). So basically a left-leaning libertarian. :D
