So after finding this thread a few minutes ago I looked up "Amusingly named historical events" on google to see what else I could find. The first thing it listed was this.

When I was teaching English in China, I got annoyed because my students would answer "yes" to questions when they did not understand the question, so I asked, "Do you know what 'defenestrate' means?" They said yes, so then I said, "OK, what does it mean?" and they got very confused.

1-Worms
2-Frankfurt
3-Hamburg

Are the only 3 i know but i guess this is why all the Prussians were massive beasts.
