H-Alba is based on Scotland, the country I was born and raised in, along with Ireland, Wales, and England. Our Colony, known as "Little H-Alba" is based on Brittany.
H-Alban Gaelic, For Example, is the first language of 80% of the population (English being 19%). And H-Alban Gaelic is based on my own mother language, Scottish Gaelic. (The main difference being I created words that are unique to NationStates that did not exist in Scots-Gaelic, also I change the grammar to make it "unique")

The Anglo-Saxon Union has many ties to celtic cultures. The north of the Union is Scottlande, which is highly powerful in the union as it was one of the two signers, along with England, of The Acts of Union in to form the Kingdom of Grand Britainia in 1707, and Wales became a signer in 1710. Ireland became a signer with the Acts of Union of 1801, and all but England are celtic cultures. The government was a mix of mostly Celtic nations and the anglo-saxon England until 1820 when Anglo-Saxon nationalists led a coup when King George III died.
Dominions of the Union:

Our nation was originally settled by Celtic tribes coming out of Cnoc Coir to the north; we were conquered in the 14th century by an imperialistic, Spanish-speaking people. The last strongholds of the old Celtic culture are in the northern provinces of Camraigh and Kalrannaich, and in the southern region called Montetevattra.
Confederation of participatory-democratic autonomous municipalities. Market socialist economy, some cantons practicing participatory economics. Environmentally sustainable economy. Enormous civil liberties. Nuclear-armed and missile defense equipped, to protect our autonomy.

While my nation has a fictional cultural base, I've incorporated a lot of Celtic influence into it.

Several major Coscivian ethnic groups, called the Geldican peoples, were contacted by Gaelic missionaries from Late Antiquity Ireland and Scotland. From them, they adopted many customs (such as plaid and whiskey), linguistic elements, and, most importantly, Celtic Christianity, which was the root of all Christianity among the Coscivian peoples that came to populate Kirav.

As a result, most Geldicans have some Goidelic Celtic blood, and their languages contain many loans from Old Irish, which were in turn borrowed into Kiravic Coscivian.

I'm of Scottish and Irish descent in real life, and I identify strongly with my Gaelic heritage, and with the Celtic peoples as a whole.

You may have also noticed the saltire in my flag.
