Anyhow, to me, I guess each birthday was a step toward manhood. Now that I'm a man with a nine to five and a house to maintain, I'm seeing it as a step further from the childhood that I miss.

I usually get manga, 2-3 video games, some clothes. But this year, I've been asking for a ukelele and a killjoy jacket. I doubt I'll get the latter for a long time, if ever. And happy birthday.

I quite caring around my 13th birthday. My dad just quite doing shit when my older brother entered the service. Now nearying my 17th I am...eh. Sure last year I got to see a movie with two buds but that was it. I just don't care any more. My problem is that people don't gather to celebrate my birthday. They gathered for easter last week and said "happy birthday" to me and my little bro while they were there.

First off, one of the main reasons I cannot stand my birthday is because I am not a social person. Why should I be forced to socialise with people who I don't care all that much for when I could be reading or writing, or even watching a film?

Second of all, if that were true then everyone would love to celebrate their birthdays.
