Space trash disposal?

In Raxar, our Orbital Corps. ships use a combination of incinerators and recycling.

We transport our useless junk to the Voltyre Space Disposal Ring (SDR) in orbit around Mercury. Our more established lands across the seas (Voltyre) handle it from that point.

For organic material we recycle it for our regenerative life support system or process it into fertilizer for our small lettuce, tomato, and pepper garden. We also recycle some inorganic material. Many other things are fed into our plasma converter (PMT) or matter to energy converter (FT) to make energy for the ship. Nothing is wasted.

The only "space trash" we have is satellites that have ceased to function. Some proposals have been made for "shooting them down", so they burn up on re-entry but that idea is far from implementation.

One of the more elaborate suggestions is a kind of orbital "pool cue" that would rendezvous with the wayward satellite and nudge it into a decaying orbit.

Cargo-bots tend to blast anyone who dares to generate any trash while riding inside them. Therefore, those privileged enough to actually get a ride don't dare to do it.

However the way We as a nation dispose of trash is by Recycling, putting into Cold Fusion Reactors in Andaricus or launching any other waste into the sun.
