Once. Light appearing in shafts by the wall to a building. There were no lights of any natural or manmade kind around them, and they did not illuminate the area around them.

I swear, I hear my dogs doing weird things. I once heard them playing with a squeak toy when no-one was home, so I went up to play with them, and they were both sleeping, and the chew toys hadn't moved at all. I also heard my dog call me a bitch once, but that's another story.

Yes I believe in ghosts. I grew up in Fredericksburg Va & have had personal experiences. Fredericksburg is like the south's Gettysburg, it is a haunted town. I have not just witnessed unexplainable sights, but have also seen things move on there own. I also grew up in the antique business & own antiques, that may have added to such events in my life. My father grew up in a house that was originally the town morgue & the two houses that I have owned have both been old & have seen death. The stories from my father are numerous, mine are mostly mild & can be counted on both hands. The knowledge & personal research of my ancestors lives may also play a part, I don't know.

I have reason to believe that I am experiencing a mild haunting. I often have dreams that always wake me at exactly 2:45am. Durring one such dream, I shouted "show yourself!" as I awoke & the attic door slamed shut just after that night, again at exactly 2:45. There were no windows open in the house, no fans, no air, to cause such an event to happen naturally.

Or, you know, in places where a great many people have died, people living there tend to think about that death more than a little bit. Fredericksburg is a major Civil War tourist spot. I've been there. I wouldn't have gone if it were not for the battle. I really doubt owning old furniture causes paranormal "events." I have a number of antiques and my house is over 110 years old, and I haven't experienced any odd "events." And not to cast aspersions on your father, who is, I'm sure, a fine person, but "can be counted on two hands" only means ten or less. Not exactly a lifetime's worth.

And by the way, calling Fredericksburg "the South's Gettysburg" is not going to make you very popular around town.

I think you misunderstand what I was trying to say. My experiences can be counted on two hands. My fathers are numerous. He grew up in a house built in the very small town of Alert Indiana. That house was built in 1898 as the town morgue before it was converted into a home to live in. My pop lived there for most of his live before going to Vietnam. The stories from that place from him, his two brothers, & his (now late) sister could be made into a movie. From what they claim, something happened every night. I only remember that house a a very small child, so those stories are not my own.

As for the Gettysburg remark, that was for those not keen on the civil war, but thanks, I do take your point.

wouldn't know if you would call it a 'glitch' really. But once I went through a really really rough spot, and I had a seriously fucked up dream about my dead grandmother, and then when I woke up, I went into the sitting room and I saw her there sitting in the armchair she used to sit in.
Another time when I was younger I got into a serious argument with my parents and ran away, and I could see her following me the whole time I was gone.

Thanks for the clarification. I'm still skeptical, for the reasons I mentioned. You live a place that's supposedly haunted, you're going to grow up thinking it's haunted, and every little ... something is going to be a haunting.
