National Zombie Containment & Elimination Plan

I would like to hear some other peoples plans to combat zombies on a national level.

Do not give a personal zombie plan, remember you are devising a strategy for your government to prevent the spread of the zombie virus and to eliminate it, also post whether the zombies in your scenario are fast or slow. As far as animals are concerned they can be a carrier of the virus but are not be turned into zombie animals.

Well, if we take the traditional zombie scenario, then the government can just tell everyone to shoot any zombies they see.

Thing is, the chances of you ending up with a one human vs a million zombies situation are next to nil. Think about it. In movies and games, zombies are consistently portrayed as being slow, stupid, and easy to kill. In these games and movies, one person can easily kill at least 20 zombies before becoming one.

So if for every new person turned into a zombie, the zombies lose 20, then we aren't exactly going to have a big problem. They'd be gone by Tuesday.
