Well, merely because you're blind to the fiction of the mods gathering up all political dissent and banishing them to work camps in the frozen tundra, that's really more an issue with you accepting reality.

Given the Montana incident recently on NSG, no. But it does still astound me how a nation of the USA's position in the world can be enacting legislation that any other Western nation would have been striking down back in the '70s.

This is a terrible terrible tragedy! All young boys should be taught how to respond to homosexual advances and we promise if you send your child to our special education camps he will learn much more that he thought he would ever know!

And there's the problem. This is banning the sex ed classes from having useful information, when the classes are already too crappy to begin with.

I'm not sure how. It's not really a collective decision by "America": rather, a stupid law in a Bible Belt state.

Our country does enough stupid shit at the national level without being blamed as a whole for the doing of particularly bad states.

Aye, but then the High Lord Priest Vicar Bishop of Scotland gave a speech today saying that the church should be given the freedom to bash teh gheys. Well I paraphrase, but if you consider the Bible Belt of America to be a theocracy, this isn't the worst they could be doing.

LOL, the old fashioned portrayal of homosexuals as pedophiles by illustration of pederastic ephebophilia. Perhaps we can portray the dangers of heterosexuals by illustration of ephebophilic relationships between older man and adolescent girls... Bet they didn't have 1950's PSA's for that.

Now quite the same thing... They didn't introduce the ephebophile as a "Heterosexual"... They should have shown who she was taken by, and introduced him as "This is John Doe, and he's a heterosexual". Like they did in Boys Beware.

The fact that you, personally, may defy the odds doesn't really dispel the over-all impression of your state...especially when your state's elected officials are passing these kinds of laws.
