Why would you even worship a god who's obviously a massive bigot? It makes no sense. If the douchebag even exists, it's obvious he wants his so-called chilrdren to suffer for things outside their control, or for the faults of others. All said, Yahweh is sort of an ass. So why listen to what he has to say?

why listen to atheists? There is not actually a verse of the bible that directly translates to "gays = bad" I'm pretty sure the closest thing to the word homosexual in the bible is when he bashes on the "emasculate". emasculate/=/gay

I hope people purposely go out of their way to talk about gays in Tennessee. Time to add Tennessee to the shit list of states.

It took you this long to put us on the list? You could have asked me at least 5 years ago and saved a lot of time.

Which is, for any supporter of equal rights for all people, equivalent to "the bad list".

If students don't learn about it, they will believe that gays are bad and should not be accepted. I'm not gay, but I do believe in equal rights, and when people are educated about something, they are more accepting. Homosexuality shouldn't be discussed in schools until the students are say, in the 5th grade though, which is when I started to learn about sex. Obviously it shouldn't be discussed in Kindergarten.

Few do. But I dont believe in 'equal rights'. So if students dont talk about it and its thought of as bad, maybe that will discourage some potential LGBTs from doing so. Which would be good.

I don't either. I believe Christians should be subjugated with high taxes and have no rights at all after what they did in the past. Doesn't mean I won't fight for their freedom when the law clearly supports it.

Definitely ashamed to be a part of this state. This means that any child questioning their sexuality will be alone. They won't be able to ask teachers for advice, talk to them about bullies, or get comprehensive sex ed (Which, yes, I think should start in sixth grade), all because some idiots think that if students don't hear it, they won't be gay. That is fucking stupid. I'm glad I'll not be teaching in this state.

It's the only way to make sure that the Christianity virus doesn't spread.

Which reminds me, we got the DNA results back. Seems like the virus has finally got through your brain. I'm afraid you'll only have 3 months to live as a rational, thinking human being. I am truly sorry.

Note: I'll be championing for freedom and equality for all TM, so, as much as I REALLY REALLY want to, I can't and I won't subjugate Christians.

Yes the last thing we need is to limit speech in an already speech limited state indoctrination center.

Well, it was amended so that teachers could answer questions, but students talking about it was never on the bill:
http://www.tennessean.com/article/20110521/NEWS/305210025/-Don-t-Say-Gay-bill-clears-TN-Senate wrote:The amendment introduced Friday would limit the bill’s impact to prepared lesson plans and materials, so schools and teachers would be able respond to issues and questions about homosexuality without punishment, he said.

And the punishment is beyond ridiculous:
Teachers who break that law will have committed a misdemeanor, punishable by as much as 30 days in jail and a $50 fine.

A freaking month in jail for telling kids that sometimes two people of the same sex love each other? What the hell is wrong with the Republicans who wrote this thing? I'm just glad to see it's also been receiving constant student protests and that the senator for my district voted against it.

now that is completely against the constitution!! Its a violation of tinker except for speech and many different ways...now i know for sure republicans are wrong....they don't care for freedom like they claim, the first thing they think of is "how can i make everyone exactly like me" not that every republican is like that but....still... 0.o the people in charge are like that...

what the hell happened to all the rights and opportunities those immigrant-hating, anti-gay freaks always claim america has?! THEY HAVE A BIGGER REGARD FOR JOBS THAN HUMAN LIFE APPARENTLY!!! GOD!! NO WONDER THEY HATE GOVERNMENT INTERVENTION BUT THEN WANT TO GOVERN YOU TO DEATH!! WHY IS IT THAT GLENN BECK SOUNDS LIKE THE DICTATOR??!?!?!! WHY IS IT THAT THE REPUBLICAN BILLS ARE THE UNCONSTITUTIONAL ONES?!?!!?!?! DAMN...WHEN WILL THEY START THINKING?!?!!?

those war-mongering idiots need some love
