Sure, one could argue through Christian values that homosexuality is wrong and should be persecuted and censored, but my common sense and my Catholic upbringing tell me otherwise, that I have no right to judge other people's way of life and that my religious values are not universal nor absolute, and that religion and the Law have no no authority over what people can or can't do in private, so long as it doesn't directly harm those around them.
My moral values tell me that discriminating others for any reason is wrong, and that my principles are not universally valid, and I have the duty to respect other people's moral values.
My religion has told me so far that love, respect and mercy are the most basic principles to which we must abide, and that every form of hate or discrimination, regardless of it's motives, is a sin.

See though, I am not saying, because of my religion, to start a war and get rid of them elsewhere. But I don't believe we should live alongside those who commit evil, without opposing it....
