What do you guys think about the British author, documentary maker, comedian, presenter and all round renaissance man/national treasure Stephen Fry?
I like him a lot. He might be one of the smartest entertainers alive in Britain. He's like the modern reincarnation of Oscar Wilde.

A very funny and very intelligent fellow. And he doesn't feel the need to thrust his homosexuality in your face; he's popular and successful because of his more important qualities.

A brilliant and intelligent actor, comedian and broadcaster- and I get the comparison to Oscar Wilde- but I intensely dislike his recent tendency to dabble in politics. I'd rather he stay bloody well out of attacking the Tories and the Catholic Church (and simultaneously the Poles in that infamous Auschwitz reference of his).

Ah, Stephen Fry. Unfortunately, everything I have to say about him has already been said, so all I can do is signal my agreement with those who have remarked on him being funny and intelligent. I think he's very likable.

He's rather good in comical roles, and he's shown himself to be able to carry serious roles, also (recurring role in "Bones", starring role in "Kingdom", for example). SO, he's rather a versatile and entertaining actor.

But he's also a technophile evangelist, a proponent of education and intelligence... and someone who rails against phoney intellectualism.
