Happy birthday, but I don't think another 50 years of socialism is possible, enjoy it while you can.

I already mentioned I hate Wilson, and favor Theodore Roosevelt more than any other president in our history. I also disagree with what Roosevelt did with the Japanese, but I think he also did a great deal of good too. Wilson was just a racist tool.

I can feel ya man. People are always calling me a liberal, and I have to teach them that Communists are not liberals. People just assume and generalize.

I feel you. What liberal supports the 2nd ammendment? Every good communist should own a gun, & have one to give a coworker or neighbor.

Edit: anyway thanks for all the posts folks. As Reagan would say "Bedtime for Bonzo". Goodnight NS.

Yes, but I am not a liberal, in either the economic or social meanings of the word. I am not putting American social progressives down, at least they're not the greedy republicans or the ultra-capitalist libertarians, but I am not a liberal. I just get annoyed that people have no idea what the political spectrum actually looks like.

Americans are the most generous people in the world, measured by charitable giving as a percent of GDP. Americans give twice as much (1.67% of GDP) as the next most charitable country, the U.K. at 0.73%, according to this study by the Charities Aid Foundation (chart above is taken from the study). Americans give almost 12 times as much as the French and almost 8 times as much as the Germans. In fact, Americans give more as a percent of GDP than France, Germany, Turkey, New Zealand, Singapore and the Netherlands COMBINED!
