There are numerous threads and etc about if there are any women on NS, and obviously the answer is yes. But to be honest, I'm not quite sure if there are black people on NS. I'm not trying to be offensive... I'm just doing a survey about it. I am aware of Middle-Eastern, Asian, European, and a number of other races on NS (one of which I belong to but I'll never reveal which).

Anyway, to sum this up: ARE THERE ANY BLACK PEOPLE AFRICAN AMERICAN PEOPLE ON NS?
(Further note that I'm in no way trying to be racist or offensive.)

I don't understand why people are so afraid to use the two words "black people", but instead they use "African-American" or "African Descendant". When someone sees a white person, no one looks at them as "European-Australian-Asian-American people" etc (or whatever). And I don't see how saying "that black dude", or "black fellow" can be racist or simply offensive?
Also, I believe there are black people playing this game, why wouldn't there be?

There used to be a Haitian around. Black but not "African American". I'm also sure there was at one point an African, and at another a black person from England and another from Canada. I'm not sure where their ancestors were from.

Not trying ot be offensive here, but why are we expected to call them "African Descendants" while they call us "White". Here in Europe we just say "Black", because well, that's kind of what they are...

True. Here in the Netherlands we still use "neger", which translates to "negro. Saying "nikker" (nigger), "roetmop" (the broom a chimey-cleaner uses) or "zwartkop" (blackface) will land you in a world of trouble though.

Its derives from latin it means black as does Negro.
