Trying to think of us from an outside point of view, I really think we come across as a bunch of people stuck back in time who have beavers for pets, live in igloos, and ride polar bears to school and work. I just want everyone elses opinions.

Love 'em, love everything about 'em. I've met some Canadian jerks but they're few and far between and even their method of sarcasm is very understated (though that adds a little vinegar to it when you realize that they're being snarky kind of late).
But west coast Canadians (the jerks were east coast Canadians who don't kick down when you find them weed while they're in town even though you expressly state to them that while yes I do drive a VW Bus, have long hair and a beard and live in San Francisco I am not in fact a pot dealer myself and I'm simply going out and finding it for you...dammit.) they were lovely. Hell, one of them took me to their home and worked on my car until the wee hours after meeting me for five minutes on a ferry, even making other arrangements to pick up his daughter so he could get my car back on the road.
Seriously, there is not a lot of reasons I can think of not to just move to Vancouver except you all won't let me.

Not enough 'points.' I could move there, but not work there. Plus, even if I have enough 'points' I have to have enough cash on hand to sustain myself for six months or something like that. Immigrating to a country is hard. Every look into what it takes to immigrate to the US? We hold a lottery just to consider people. Immigration is hard. You start to understand why people jump fences...

Embrace who you are, what you are, and what you can be. Throw off the shackles of shame, refuse self-loathing, refuse misandry, refuse misogyny, refuse misanthropy, instead, love what you are.
