The Empire of Pretantia wrote:[...] TLDR; welcome to the internet. Bicker or GTFO.
"Why is self-control, autonomy, such a threat to authority? Because the person who controls himself, who is his own master, has no need for an authority to be his master. This, then, renders authority unemployed. What is he to do if he cannot control others? To be sure, he could mind his own business. But that is a fatuous answer, for those who are satisfied to mind their own business do not aspire to become authorities." ~ Thomas Szasz

I'm a caricature of a classical music snob. If it's not innovative and avant-garde, it sucks. Exceptions automatically granted to J.S. Bach and music before 1600.

<_<

More seriously... I like stuff that holds my undivided attention. If I'm getting bored for whatever reason (too repetitive, too long, no interesting ideas, ...), I probably won't listen to it more than once.

Used to listen to a lot of Techno, went to Atomic Jam a couple of times. Recently though, I've been getting back into Drum'n'Bass and Big Beat. I love Jungle and Liquid Funk, those two genres, along with Big Beat, inspire my own music.

Aside from that, I listen to a lot of other genres including Ska, Reggae, Dubstep, Disco, Electro and Funk. I don't listen to much hip-hop, but I'm a fan of DJ Shadow, 4Hero and Eminem. I just can't stand all this newfangled Gangsta Rap stuff. I can appreciate rock music, but it's not really a scene I keep up with. So much good music, so little time D:
