No, not even with post-punk as a whole.
More for the preceding dance punk derivatives, I'd say.

How does it not represent the genre well, or what would you choose instead to better represent the genre?

If we stay within Joy Division, I'd say "She's Lost Control" would be a better song for entry into post-punk. It represents the sound of the scene of the time much better.

I prefer that song, but LWTUA is probably the most accessible song to come out of the whole genre, so it makes a good introduction for people who aren't familiar with the style.

The thing with LWTUA is that's too accessible, too far from the post punk sound.
It's like starting with "Friday I'm in Love" to get into goth rock.

Temptation, 12" Version (admittedly technically by New Order, but I think it still fits here). I can listen to that song on repeat for over an hour.

Dad rock, almost exclusively.
we, unlike the bourgeoisie, have nothing to lose and therefore our expression will be the only honest one, our words will be the only challenging ones and our art will be the one revolutionary expression. We need new noise and new voices and new canvases to become something more than the last poets of a useless generation.

"Classic rock" is what it's usually called;

eg, Thin Lizzy, Led Zeppelin, AC/DC.
