I've got a bit of an eclectic thing going on, but I'm not very good at categorizing so bear with me. So I like electronic (trip hop, dubstep and house mostly, some electro-pop), rock (a little of most everything from folk to punk, although I'm not big on mainstream stuff from the last ~10+ years for the most part), so-called Classical music (I tend to prefer the Romantic period), jazz and smatterings of reggae, ska, metal, hip hop and pop. Then of course music that mashes a lot of these things together is always fun.

Oh, and there are sort of random traditional style musics that I like, Andean music is generally quite nice as is some Arabic music. And India has some awesome music too.

So basically if it doesn't suck, I'll probably listen to it.

No, I haven't. It sounds like it would have potential though.

Just about everything John wrote in the Sex Pistols was blisteringly tongue-in-cheek, by his own admittance.

But I am also in love with bands like HeyHiHello and NeverShoutNever.
As for the "Baroque is not music," these are the definitions of music: http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/music
Baroque does fall under this, unfortunately, so does Rebecca Black :(

Isn't Never Shout Never a person?

Yes, but I like to call singular musicians bands because it's simpler xD

Melody is music, in my opinion. Shit like Grindcore, Goregrind, Porngrind, Deathgrind, all that stuff, how can you stand it? Is that pleasurable to listen to?

They do it ("ironically") to mock hipsters. Ironically, they are hipsters. Which makes it triple irony. Or...Wait, what? My brain hurts.

I'm going to make a band called ?.! and dare anyone to pronounce it.
Hell, if we're going in that direction, why not make your band name an emoticon? Mine would be n_n or perhaps >:D.

Nah, you should go with ?!, then when people pronounce it they'll call it what it is: interrobang.
