Obama isn't doing bad

Postby Hairless Kitten II » Sun Aug 02, 2009 3:01 am

Surprise surprise, me, Hairless Kitten created a posting about Obama. :)

The reason why I wrote it is about the amusing news that some American media is mad because lately Obama drunk a beer with that black professor and that white policeman.

The reason why the media is mad? Well, the beer is 'Belgian'.

If the media is complaining about such things, if this is Obama his worst sin then he's doing pretty well.

After all, what's next? He can't eat no Chinese food anymore? And what about Champagne? French Fries? Spaghetti?

Reconciliation must have been the objective. Nothing wrong with that in my opinion.

I concur, Obama is doing pretty swell. Plus only been like, what, 7 months since he became (as far as the public knows) the most powerful man on planet Earth and is having to fix a bad economy, deal with international incidents and repair US image and a few people are saying he's doing a bad job? :palm:

He was supposed to fix everything in the first hundred days. On the hundred-first, once everyone realized he hadn't, everything that was wrong with the country became his fault.

Not an Obama fan, but what the fuck? I hope the people having a go at him have never ever drunk any non-American beer, or worn clothes made outside of America etc. Otherwise that would be extremely hypocritical.

Well, since most things in the US are made in China, not like they can really complain. Of course Obama promised more than he could do, all politicians do that. You don't get elected president if you're realistic.
And you really can't say much about him yet. He's only been in office for under a year.

Obama isnt Jesus, and they got pissed off at Jesus too for eating and drinking with undesireables. (Sinners) There is nothing new under the sun.

Imagine a slick talker drinking a beer anyway. Who cares. It happens all over the world all the time.

Oh, that explains his attitude. I see where this going. ;)

Seriously, not a fan of the Obama at all, but I wouldn't have expected him to "fix" things by now. Hell, one of my worst worries was that he would try too hard and end up accelerating us further into debt and depression.

Actually, recent events are making it look like that's going to be the case in the next few months between the crappy healthcare bill and the proposals for a second stimulus, but I'll think happy thoughts for now.

I don't understand why he is taking the time to "fix" this Harvard professor situation when he could be doing more important things.

President drank the wrong beer. Tut tut.

We know there are plenty of people who have never liked Obama for President. Anyone who says they changed their mind about his job performance or whether he's "good for America" or whatever ... based on his choice of beer ... well, they're probably lying. They never liked him, and this is just something to throw at him.

He wouldn't have to and wouldn't, except that he said something stupid and helped break it.

Anyway, just how much time did he spend on it ? I thought it was just a couple of comments, and a sit down over beers.

He's supposed to spend twenty-four hours of every day working on the problems of the country, even if there's no actual work he can possibly be expected to do. Every president in history has done so; he should be no different!

Cept for that one dude who died very early in office, William Henry Harrison. One month and all.
I don't think he actually did anything...

He isn't doing bad, he just isn't performing the miracles that are demanded by the general public.

And why is everyone blaming him for the shitty healthcare bills? Yes it was his idea but he never wrote any of them.

Apparently it wasn't Obama's beer, but the overreacting and pretentious Dr Gates that wanted the Red Stripe, but who cares?

By the way, we renamed "French Fries" to "Freedom Fries" about the time the French opposed our liberation of Iraq.

Newscasters who criticize Obama's beer choice are hypocritical. Where do they think their clothing is made? At least Belgian beers are higher quality at a higher price rather than clothing which is the same product made cheaper.
