That's right.
As of yesterday, all areas of the world where video games are normally distributed(Japan, North America, Europe, Australia), have the new game Dissidia 012: Final Fantasy in stores.
This is probably the most anticipated PSP game ever.
Not only can you play through a new story line in the game, but if you have a save file of the old Dissidia on your PSP, you can play it again with the updated mechanics, along with a special accessory as a reward.
Now what else makes this game special?
Let's start it off: It's the sequel to one of the biggest PSP titles, Dissidia: Final Fantasy, one that allowed you to fight as one of the most popular Final Fantasy characters. You got to fight against other characters, and even fight the god of Discord, Chaos. The game takes place during the 13th cycle of battle between the goddess Cosmos and the god Chaos.
Dissidia 012 Final Fantasy mostly covers the 12th cycle, and has several new chacarcters, such as Kain Highwind, Tifa Lockheart, Lightning(Uggggghhhh), Vaan, Prishe, Gilgamesh(FFV), and Laguna Loire(Yay!).
It also introduces a new form of Chaos, Feral Chaos, who was formed during a cycle after the 13th during which Chaos turned insane, and five of the warriors listed above defeated him forever.
It explains why these characters were not in the original Dissidia, and also gives backstory as to what some of the mysteries in the first Dissidia were.
Although it is slightly unreliable, there are suspicions that there are a few secret characters, although this may just be inspired by Gilgamesh and Prishe.
