I may be using the term fetish in the loosest definition in my mind, mainly being an intense interest in something outside of the typical. I debated on adding long hair on men, or black hair on women thinking those or more or less just things I really like. Hard to decide what counts as a fetish and what doesn't.

I apologize for picking up a bit of a dead threadjack. I was just perusing and this bugged me.

How well-thought-out and sourced those ideas are also plays a factor.

There's nothing really unreasonable about this -- for someone who prefers that style of debate, it's undoubtedly more interesting to argue against those who can back up their positions and ideas than those who can't. Extremist political views, not having been tried much in practice, obviously lack a lot of empirical support.

(As for the writing style, that's not "talking down" so much as "being very precise" -- at least in ideal circumstances; in non-ideal circumstances it looks more like my parody above -- which is what one would expect from a lawyer.)

You're ignoring the whole "and properly address your arguments" part. TCT once used sources about child sexual abuse against me for wanting to legalize consensual sex between adults and teenagers, with a precise definition of "consent" that was completely ignored. I think they also said something to the effect of "consensual sex can still be abusive" and didn't cite that claim...

Also, "extremist" usually means "violent", and that's not the same as "radical".

I am disappointed but not particularly concerned that you have a negative opinion of our encounters, Meryuma, but get your facts right.

If you had bothered to read beyond the title of even some of those sources, then you would have seen the sources themselves specifically addressed the issue of consent and did provide evidence that so-called "consensual sex" between adults and children (at the time you weren't limiting it to teenagers) was often harmful.

But you didn't look at the evidence. Instead, you and Bendira threw a fit about how I'd linked too many sources (one of which was even titled to show it was about the harms of "consensual sex" for children).

Oh, I've been outside many a time.
