Anyone in Australia must have heard something about the carbon tax (or its not a tax accoring to the labour party). Many details are still unknown but I am wondering do Australians consider this a good idea.
THIS IS NOT A DEBATE IF CLIMATE CHANGE IS REAL. It is simply wether you support the idea of pricing carbon or like the idea of the current proposed model.
I personally see too much of the money going overseas meaning there will be poor compensation that will be further diminished by public servents. I also have very little trust of a labour government to create a new tax. When the mining tax was created a change of leader and a secret back room deal allowed the big miners to get a great discount but not the small miners.
I do believe in climate change, I just dont want a tax that will make Australian goods rise in price if they are being sold in Australia or overseas or where the cost will be passed on to consumers on the lower job incomes/wages where they will not be adequetly compensated.
