Its not to the point where I avoid movies, situations, or such to avoid seeing ETs on-screen. However, I have had many sleepless nights because of my fear. When I was younger, I had several instances where I had nightmares regarding ETs in my room.

My parents allowed me to watch War of the Worlds (the 1953 film) when I was about 4. I had nightmares about aliens until the age of 15, when I decided to re-watch the film and realised how bad it was. I used to hate watching any extra-terrestrial type movies or tv shows - in fact, I remember being terrified of the movie "ET"

They are more afraid of you then you are of them. Plus if you hold perfectly still they can't see you due to poor eyesight...wait I think thats the Tyrannosaurus. Anyway, they are just people man, they just have different interests then you. Eventually you'll find someone as intimidated and struck by you as you are of this girl. It happens to them too. My girlfriend was afriad to speak to me after we met and texted me that she lost her ring in my dorm room as an excuse to speak to me again. It was a lie, she never lost the ring, but it got us speaking and then we started dating. Give it time and don't be afraid. Be confident even in the face of defeat.
