Aren't the rulers of North Korea supposed to be immortal or something in their propaganda? I keep hearing stories of how Kim il-Sung was hoisted to the heavens by cranes but they couldn't carry him there because the people of North Korea were crying too hard.

He actually believed his loyalists would save him, so you're correct on that one. However, his loyalists hardly did a thing when the rebels started making advances. The only ones who opposed them (for the most part) were his troops, and even then, a good majority of his troops refused to kill civilians and ended up becoming rebels themselves.

War is all fun and games before you realize they aren't fun and games. Oh, if only Gaddafi had treated his people better.
