Well he promised to die a martyr and he did. Not that it will bring any change though, I mean, Saddam's dead for 7 years or so and Iraq is still a worse shithole than it was under him.

exactly, I have a lot of respect for how he died, he went down swinging like he said he would. Everyone called him a coward but he has put that lie to rest. He died for what he believed in, that means a lot, no matter what ideology you follow.

Note: Saddam went out like a bitch, hiding in a hole.

Oil has nothing to do with it. Gaddhafi was already selling at low costs to western oil distributors, BP stands out.

Hey I'm proud of you but I want to say that Reagan bringing down European Communism was the greatest of all time. OF ALL TIME! :p

Actually, that happened under the presidency of Bush sr... and aren't you forgetting bringing down Worldwide Nazifascism and Imperial Japan, by the way? As in, let's see, oh wait, FDR and Truman were Dems?

Aaaand... did "European Communism" ever perform terror attacks on the USA? I would say no. :D

I'd heard about it on Twitter...is it confirmed now? Was he really in Sirte and all?

Anyways, I think it's good. Not that I wished for his death, but I wanted him to at least be found. There needed to be retribution for his crimes, and I suppose that this way there was.

I bet to differ, everyone is out for their own skin in certain circumstances, in this one he went out like a boss.

Meh. We won't know for some time. I honestly don't really care how he died anyway, but I'd rather have had him stand trial in the Hague.

Yeah. But it was clear the new Lybian government couldn't afford that - many of its leaders being former ministers of Gaddafi's. They wouldn't have liked him speaking too much during the trial, would they?

Like a boss? More like a bitch. He could have at least died with dignity.

An NTC fighter told the BBC he found Col Gaddafi hiding in a hole in Sirte, and the former leader begged him not to shoot.

Jibril has confirmed Gaddafi's death.

NTC: Game Completed.
Gadadfi: Game Over.

The people of Libya have woken up, stood up and spoke up. And let it be a warning to other dictators like Assad that they could face a similar fate if they continue the crackdown against the innocent people who are tired of injustice.

That also means that Libya is set up to be different from Iraq in this way - due to the farce of Debaathification in Iraq many of the post-Saddam government figures had no real experience in administration/governance. Libya should be able to avoid that problem.

Right cause their totally gonna make it seem like he died honorably, they are of course going to make it sound like he was a bitch.

It's amazing how much Assad needs to be gone. If you would like to argue that, I would like to ask you to research Homs right now.

Dying in the hole you were hiding in and begging is being bitch.

I noted in other posts that you proudly claim to be pro-Corpsedafi, I mean pro-Gaddafi, so I can accept you won't deal with any version of the event except your imagined one where he strode out into the street, challenged the rebels to a duel, and proceeded to slay 100 of them with his golden AK before taking a bullet for a child and dying a hero.

His begging is more believable, I guess. :p
