With its Y chromosome changed to X
And when I'm alone with my own little clone
We'll both think of nothing but sex.
O give me a clone, hear my sorrowful moan,
Just a clone that is wholly my own.
And if it's an X of the feminine sex,
Oh what fun we will have when we're prone.
My heart's not of stone, as I've frequently shown
When alone with my dear little X
And after we've dined, I am sure we will find
Better incest than Oedipus Rex.
Why should such sex vex, or disturb or perplex.
Or induce a disparaging tone?
After all, don't you see, since we're both of us me.
When we're making love, I'm alone.

Honestly I would, mainly because it would probably be the least complicated relationship I'd ever have, and I'm already best friends with someone who is basically a female clone of myself. The only reason we're not dating is that she's a lesbian and is dating my other best friend.
So, would you date a clone (either same sex or opposite sex) of yourself?

Now the interesting theory in clones that I've always pondered is the question of your clone going through different life experiences than the ones you have experienced. Say you are cloned from birth and your clone is taken to live a different life experience. The possibility that your clone turns out exactly like yourself is probably quite slim. If that were the case, I very well might consider dating myself. Mostly out of curiosity.

Technically, for your clone to be exactly the same as you, the entire world would need to be created. Everything that ever happened to or around you, in the exact order that it happened. Which means that everyone else would need to be recreated exactly the same, all the way back to the origin of all life.

What about if it was a strictly biological clone and had a different upbringing?

Then by the time it was old enough to be legal I'd be way too old to want to date it.![]()
But if we're imagining some entity conjured into existence at my age, that somehow has my genes, plus a sex change, plus a lifetime of different experiences making it a distinct person who just has a lot in common with me...then still probably not, since there's no particular reason to believe we'd even get along, and a fair number of reasons to believe I'd make a pretty weird-looking dude.
