I daresay that at any strength of the economy if 75% of the workforce stopped working it would cause a fairly substantial nosedive; that's not really indicative of how 'bad' the situation we're in now is.

Ok, so put that into practice. If most of Japan is gone because of the Earthquake/Tsunami and we rely on them for a portion of our goods and services, and so do other countries. AND we're aiding them and we supposedly only have barely enough to get by as it is. How many more natural disasters and middle east protests do you think we're going to be able to dodge. Remember we're still doing stuff in Haiti and other areas that were affected by natural disasters last year.

Edit: Hell up until Egypt we were still aiding Mubarak...

That's nice. So what? There is no point revolting if I gain nothing from it. You keep saying we can gain freedom or civil rights. We already have that.

Something tells me this is just another teenage angst.

Trust me: This one is really bad.
And I thought I had plenty of angst...
I guess I just don't put it towards useless stuff like this. :D

What tyranny? What makes you feel so oppressed? The mandatory education? The food stamps? NASA? What?

NASA is a blatant tool of the NWO.
The kind of middle-class mentality which actuates both those responsible for strategy and government has little knowledge of the new psychology and organizing ability of the totalitarian States. The forces we are fighting are governed neither by the old strategy nor follow the old tactics.

Yes, and Haiti is taking long because it's a fourth world country.
Japan will be able to recover from this within the next year. And no, most of it is not gone. Most of the damage is in Miyagi Prefecture.

The Revolution is my life. The people are my gods. The capitalists are my enemy.
Proud Juche Socialist - VICTORY TO GADAFFI!!!
Citizen of the World.
It is necessary to expose the false propaganda of the imperialists and thoroughly dispel the illusion that the imperialists will give up their positions in the colonies and dependent countries with good will. It is wrong to try to avoid the struggle against imperialism under the pretext that independence and revolution are important, but that peace is still more precious. The oppressed peoples can liberate themselves only through struggle. This is a simple and clear truth confirmed by history.

I'd like you to try to maintain the cooling systems in the Fukushima Nuclear Power plant.

No really. I want you to do it. You say that the government is oppressive and that people need to stop working, you try to maintain those reactors.

Wait, what? Just the northern half of the country, and even then with the most serious areas concentrated along the coastlines, has been affected by the earthquake.

Mhykael wrote:AND we're aiding them and we supposedly only have barely enough to get by as it is.

We have plenty to give in this sort of situation. The issue isn't that we 'barely have enough to get by', its that our deficit(s) are growing at an unsustainable rate.

Mhykael wrote:How many more natural disasters and middle east protests do you think we're going to be able to dodge. Remember we're still doing stuff in Haiti and other areas that were affected by natural disasters last year.

Disaster aid is a drop in the bucket compared to things like the U.S. military; an increase in disaster aid, especially relatively short-term aid like this (As compared to aid in places like Afghanistan) isn't really going to affect the deficit too too much, in the grand scheme of things.

They're not going to be able to maintain them anyways. And they know the building inside and out. There's to much structural damage. They're just keeping it from blowing up pretty much, but it's breaking more and more everyday.

Does total boycott of all foreign (especially US) goods, where possible, count? I guess that's just passive resistance.

I'm not a nuclear engineer I just pay attention to news media outside the US. I don't know what rate it will happen because like i said I'm not a nuclear physicist. But when 3/5 of the main building are structurally damaged beyond repair and have visable chunks of wall missing.. yeah... Also, You don't rescue people trapped for a week under the rubble without government intervention unless you just have extremely brave citizens.
