New thoughts on Sexuality (in humans)

So I've been reading the "gay life" and "sexual urges" threads recently, which have made me question my beliefs and really take a new look at things.

I gave this a lot of thought today in particular, and after much internal debate I came up with a solution that I think would be acceptable to all:

Sterilization.

Ok I know this is a bit controversial but just bear with me for a second.

So we all know that sex offenders and sexual deviants are a major problem. If we lobbied the government to mandatorially sterilize them, then that problem would be solved. Rapists, homosexuals, child pornographers, furries etc. would all be without their horrible urges.

Also, I know that the medical community is clamoring for the right to dissect cadavers now, we could placate them by giving them all the lobbed-off dicks balls and vaginas to study!

As an added bonus, with all the genital dissecting that would be going on, the scientists might finally find a cure for all these sexual abnormalities and then all the people that are currently deviant would be made normal again.

It's killing three birds with one stone! Who's with me?

No, that's not acceptable at all. There are plenty of gays who are comfortable with who they are, homosexuality is not a problem to anyone with an ounce of tolerance for deviation from the norm in their bodies.

Also, not new. The UK used to do this IIRC.

I'm not so sure about this. They'd still be evil, even if their physical urges were gone (they'd still have the mental urge) but they'd be pissed-off about the castration too, and looking for revenge.

I'm totally with you on the furries, though. :twisted:

This is just sick and twisted. Sex is natural. You don't have to act on some urges, but whatever it is that you are, there is nothing wrong with it.

I'm going to assume you're an imbecile. Even disregarding the fact that the sheer vagueness of who is deviant and who is not would mean it would be impossible for this system to not be abused, can you prove to me that sexual deviancy is a problem at all?

Well, I read in a reputable scholarly journal that removing the sexual urge (or "libido" as it is known) results in the sterilized party really calming down so to say, becoming less aggressive etc.

They used to chemically sterilize such people in the UK until the 1960s. The only result was the suicide of the best computer scientist to have walked the Earth because the state wouldn't keep out of the bedroom :roll:

As for rapists, what if it's discovered later that your accused-rapist was actually innocent? Yeah... it's the same reason the death penalty can never work.

So... you would be ok with the government sterilizing all religous folks, since their indocteration of their children at an early age heavly interfers with their freedom of religon? Same principle.

Besides, I concider religon a mental abnormality, maybe we can cure that too!
