I never made the opposite claim. I'm sure that this has been your experience, as it's the opinion you hold, but the handful of teachers you have encountered passing through the 13 grades of primary school do not represent "most" of the teacher in America.

I have encountered involved and caring teachers, and I've encountered teachers who are just punching a clock (less of the second group), but I don't like this meme we have in America that teachers are, as a group, incompetent, lazy, don't give a shit, worthless, etc. It's not true, and it's a damaging idea. Judge each teacher individually, don't prejudge them all. Too many do.

Although I imagine what you're getting at is that there is often little help for bullied students, which I'll agree with you on.
