Because they sleep with men (or in the case of 2, they are lesbians). And you are correct that they could be being sarcastic. My statement was not a condemnation. Not by a long shot. I meant that it was amusing.

I never said it was a condemnation.

David Byrne was cute when he was younger, but Tina Weymouth is by far the best looking in the band. As far as Vampire Weekend, ask my sister, she would know, but I'm not really familiar with them aside from their appearance on the Colbert Report.

I wasn't speaking of the band members, rather of the songs.

I know, I simply find songs, being sounds, difficult to express in terms of cuteness. My visual perception of sounds is very abstract, and I find that difficult to explain in terms such as cute, because this implies a certain biological aspect. The only way for a sound to be considered 'cute' in my thought process, is it to arise from a living thing (or robot), human or otherwise, which I consider cute. Hence my digression.

More the lyrics are cute, but whatevs.
Anyways you have visual perception of sound? So do I...

I tend to have a lot of synesthesia. I give personalities to letters and numbers as well. And genders. I think of them as having colors as well...I don't think the whole visual perception of sound is quite as unusual as that, but I don't know.

I associate colors with numbers and letters somewhat, but not very strongly.
I never really thought of it as synesthesia, though, but I guess it is...

I don't really do it very strongly, but if you were to ask I could go on and on about how 91 is such a jerk, and how R is a homophobic asshole who is making Y feel terrible about his life.
