Hey! What about asexuals? No threads for us?

*waves arms about for attention*

Oh I see. Not controversial enough.

Oh I see. Not controversial enough.

Well, asexuality isn't even that appropriate a term. Doesn't asexual mean "able to reproduce without a mate"? Meh.

Anyway, asexuality seems more akin to chastity to some people, I think, so its not as ebel and cultur destroying den dem ebel homomosexualies.

Not chastity at all. Chastity is a choice.

But I digress, this thread is not about asexuals. Continue on about gays, please.

I'll give an example. One person whom I met about two years ago I'd learned after we became Facebook friends was very heavily into Christian ministry and the like. I'll admit to doing some profiling, so I was nervous about ever bringing up the subject of my sexual orientation around him, or even mentioning the word "gay" around him in any context.

A few months after we first met, the subject of the then-current Twilight movie New Moon came up. He recommended I go see the movie, not knowing that I watch movies about as often as the U.S. has a presidential election. What I thought hilarious was the reason he recommended the movie. Bear in mind that I took pains to not bring up my sexual orientation around him. He recommended I go see the movie because Taylor Lautner spent "half the movie with his shirt off." As soon as he said that, I knew he knew and that he was cool with it.

When I came out to my father and his partner, the last question Dad #1 asked me (the "acid test question") was, "do you like Bette Midler."

I am assuming that one day I will meet one. So far, it's pretty constant.

In fact I'm kind of starting to like some of her stuff… feeling like Seth Brundle.

I've heard he looks like a lesbian, but otherwise I've not heard any gay related hype around him compared to say, Lady Gaga

When I'm on campus I find that many hate on the kid.... until they turn on their car and the Biebster blasts from their radios. It's quite amusing.
