Asperger's isn't a disorder. It has about as much good as bad about it. It's really just an alternate type of brain.

Some traits that are typical of Asperger's syndrome, such as attention to detail and focused interests, can increase chances of university and career success. Many people with Asperger's seem to be fascinated with technology, and a common career choice is engineering. But scientific careers are by no means the only areas where people with Asperger's excel. Indeed, many respected historical figures have had symptoms of Asperger's, including Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Albert Einstein, Marie Curie, and Thomas Jefferson.

Your own source mentions positive aspects to Asperger's and doesn't once say "disorder".

Even with 'positive' aspects, it is still considered a disorder. Not sure what else is there to discuss.

More sources that explain why it is a disorder: http://www.mayoclinic.com/health/asperg ... me/DS00551

It not only affects learning development, but also communication. Nothing positive about that.
I think I will keep subscribing to what experts say.

Thank you. The dismissive attitude some people adopt sometimes is offensive.
I frankly see nothing wrong with a person who suffers from Asperger's. They're people, same a everybody else. But I do not go too far as to say their symptoms don't count or that their condition isn't really a condition. I am sure their symptoms are very real and do cause them stress.
