Jeez, i've been seeing this thread in the forum topic bar on the side for a while now, and I never had enough interest to actually check it out. But I am honestly surprised at how large the gay community on this site seems to be. Isn't it great?

It really isn't that large... It's even smaller if you don't count bisexuals...

The funny thing is my best friend is gay and we often talk about who we find hot (him guys and me girls). So when we discuss they are hot because X,Y and Z the other guy has no clue what the other is talking about. It is quite comical now that i think about it.

Oh and another question. What is ok for straight-gay friends to talk about in your eyes? Cause he is my first gay friend and I do not know what is appropriate or not.

Well, I tend to count them together because people tend to hate both of them. And I consider myself bisexual, just a lot more gay than straight.

Well it can be physical. Like my friend likes athletic guys with muscles. I am like "meh" it is hard for me to understand why that is attractive. And I like girls that have small boobs. And my friend is like "shrug". Like we can say what is hot but the other guy has no clue. Well it could be sexual as well. Like he told me that when he has a boyfriend that "he can take but he does not give" I mean i was like "...ok?" like I can't think "oh thats hot" the rest can go to your imagination.

Ohh I see.. Yeah, I never really got that concept. I think I posted something similar relating to the whole 'Macho guy not admitting that another guy is good looking'. I'm not attracted to women, but I'm fully able to note what is attractive about them. Beauty is a subjective view that shouldn't be limited to sexual orientation.

My life would probably be far easier if I wasn't bisexual. A girl I once loved said to me; 'you'll never love me like I love you because i'll never be enough for you'. If bisexuals do have 'the best of both worlds', I never have. She was wrong of course, but it doesn't help that i'm expected to explain my sexuality, or be told it's not really a sexuality. I'm not unhappy about it, it's good most of the time. I would say I was 70/30 in terms of female/male attraction, yet when a guy I like takes an interest in me, why is that more exciting than if it were a girl? See? Bi be bemusing.

My bi friend said the key to being bi is just to not give a damn. It is hard enough to figure it out yourself let alone have to worry about others. Just if people ask tell them you are bi. Let them figure out the rest themselves. You do not need to explain and justify yourself to the world.

I'd just tell my friends who I am going out with or who I think looks cute, or such and such, and let them figure out the label. But then again, sometimes I just like to watch my friends squirm.

But you see, bisexuality and polyamory are one and the same, and polyamory is the same thing as being a cheating slut, so bi folks are guaranteed to cheat! It makes such perfect sense! And being poly *and* probably not straight, I'm doubleplusextra guaranteed to have 500 sexual par- wait, I've never had sex? Damn. The theory might have some kinks to iron out.

Polyamerous people choose to live in a relationship with more than one other person. That doesn't relate to bisexuality at all.

I had thought Lordieth's girlfriend was associating bisexuality with not being monogamous.

No, she felt that because I was sexually attracted to men and women, that as a woman she wouldn't have everything I wanted. Which was as good as saying to me that my relationships would be incomplete. I have never cheated on a partner. Ever. She saw it in a way that i'd somehow feel I was missing something by staying with her. You could say that about anyone of any sexuality. I think she saw it in physical terms rather than emotional. It wasn't a cheating concern, she thought she was inadaquate for me.

What's this threads purpose? Is this like the gay version of Apple's genius bar?
