Actually there have been two Final Fantasy movies.

Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children

Actually, I meant a live-action one as opposed to the CGI movies...

And I rather liked The Spirits Within... For some reason.

Why?

"They're bad because they're bad" is utter nonsense.

Also, I'd hold Crystal Chronicles up as an example of an original, enjoyable FF game, though then again it's nothing like other FF games.

Probably because it was nothing like any of the games.

Anyways your comments about FF rather annoy me. I'm not really an FF fan (the plots for the main games are fairly formulaic, and they also drag on way too long before really even starting) but you seem to hate the series because you think it's somehow gay.

It pretty much is. I've touch some of the later ones, and other than a few novelty tweaks, it's the same game. Every new pokemon they come out with pretty much already exists under a different skin, so the redundancy levels are getting out of control.

But...But...IN Platinum version you can catch a Level 100 Magicarp. No hacks needed. Only decent thing in that game.

Terrible voice acting, not enough skills, samey samey game-play, bad graphics, it was just all around disappointing. Still worth a single play-through but not worth hanging on too. If you want to play it, rent it.

Lol. I once leveled a magikarp to 100. God damn, that was a waste of time. However, it says a lot when one of the unique things about a game is that you can obtain the most worthless pokemon at the highest level. Cute, but not exactly worth the time or effort of putting it into the game.

I also decided to take a quick look at the Black/White pokedex recently. First thought: My god, these designs are god awful. Second thought: Wait a second... this is just a re-shuffled original 150. Third thought: Brilliant marketing team.

There's a difference between "homosexual" and "flamboyant, garish, and superficial". Hell, there's a difference between "homosexual" and "gay". ;)

I think it's sad the possibly homosexual creator fell into the stereotypical pratfalls associated with homosexuals, really.

Capitalism is always the answer. Whenever there's a problem in capitalism, you just need some more capitalism. If the solution isn't capitalism, then it's not really a problem. If your capitalism gets damaged, you just need to throw some capitalism on it and get on with your life.

It all comes down, just like any other game on the market, your preferred tastes. The game has it's ups and downs, and depending on what you like, how much you'll love it or hate it. WoW can be extremely fun with the right group of people, and can be an extreme pain the ass with everyone else. There is a lot of grinding, and to get to the point of end game takes dire commitment, most of which people do not have. Fundamentals of the game changes a lot with updates that change classes and dungeons, but in the base of it it has mostly stayed the same. You won't like if you're not into RPGs, having to rely on others (unless you do strictly random BGs), and don't like a time sink.

Like I stated it's a gigantic time sink. You can't just pick up gear easily without having to run dungeons constantly on groups you hope you can trust to not stand in fire. You have to spend countless hours running around looking for a piece of rock sticking out of other rock to mine, and hope a bot doesn't auto-mine it away from you. It's a game based heavily on the person and the community at the same time, and that simultaneously makes and breaks it. In a standard RPG you don't jump through as many hoops to get to where you want to go, and simply just have to level up to access certain abilities/areas/etc.

"End Game" in WoW community is simply when you reach the point you are able to take on the final tier of dungeons (raids). While the game doesn't actually "end" you've reached the last of the PvE material for that particular area (or expansion pack). Of course you can still do other things, but in terms of your raiding career, you've reach the top of it, and there is no where else to go that is on par.

Superman for the N64.

All you do is fly through rings and if you miss 2-3 rings or happen to run out of the strict time limit you have to start at the beginning all over again. The controls are horrible, along with the ugly graphics. It also does not have any coherent plot or sequence of events, with a lousy anti climatic ending. In terms of game play and graphics- it could be considered the worst game ever made for the Nintendo 64 (and of 1999). It's not fun or challenging, it's boring/frustrating.
