Because if they can't get their one-minute, insta-kill they get bored.

No, I like the absolute pure fun and randomness. I love just sitting there as you respawn wonderin "How the fuck did he snipe me out of a banshee?"
Or the fun of jumping into a jeep with some bros and attacking the enemy base, and the number one thing, teamwork.
I love Bad Co 2 since it practically enforces teamwork, if you don't work as a squad, you lose, nice en' simple. You have to think on your feet, change tactics, use flanking maneuvers, etc.

Final Fantasy 2 and beyond. What's the point of naming a game 'final' if you're gonna make infinite crappy sequels?

I actually think the original intention was to have just one FF game, but the first one was apparently so popular that they decided to keep releasing sequels.

You'd think they would at least change the title.

The original Final Fantasy was to be the last game ever made by Square. It became so popular that it became pretty much the bread and butter of the company. Unfortunately, RPGs other than FF were not very popular outside of Japan, so other games were retitled 'final fantasy' in order to sell (such as final fantasy legends). I'm guessing that's also the reason why other games are called 'Final Fantasy' as well.

First of all, no not necessarily, they could easily go back in time or revisit an old game like Total War just did. And second of all, lolwut? Have you completely forgotten about the last decade sparing these last 2 or 3 years? WWII has had so many games made about it that it's sickening. Fear of putting salt on an old wound, lmao. They just know everyones sick of WW2.

Firstly, you better be talking about Frostbite 2 right now, Frostbite 1.5 was good, but not spectacular. Secondly, you clearly have not seen any of the Skyrim trailers.

But I will say this, if it's fallout without a number (aside from New Vegas) it needs to just jump in a pit in die. God, Brotherhood and Tactics were just a smack to the face.

True, COD was good. Note the past tense. I find that microphones and pre-teens combined ruin games.

I've taken a liking to Unreal Engine 3. They're similar, imo. There's lots of shiny things in Mass Effect.
