Sometimes I think that these natural disasters are a good thing. The way the international community pulls together reminds one that not everything is shit.

Maybe, maybe not. Can we possibly be assured that the Japanese people will be fine? There has been plenty of aftershocks since Friday. Well, Japan has been through alot of bad stuff, like the 1923 Earthquake. They really got hurt during World War Two.
