Then, of course, I remember how many intelligent Americans I know who are all smarter than me or as smart and how the nation keeps moving forward. But honestly,. This is all I can say.
Don't judge us by our worst, most of us are not like that. Also I don't think the media portrays us fairly...Not that the Republicans make it any easier....Asswads.

Instead of thinking of them, I'll just remember waking up this morning to see images of US Naval helicopters arriving with food in the quake area, the carriers showing up, and word that search and rescue squads are on their way here. Not to mention Google setting up help lines and the American red Cross

Thats the America I know. Thats the image of this nation I want, always willing to help those who need it. Hopefully this shows the world that we will be there when others need it.

Sometimes I think that these natural disasters are a good thing. The way the international community pulls together reminds one that not everything is shit.

But in reality, natural disasters are not good. However, as you stated, it brings countries in willing to aid in the rebuilding. In this case. the U.S.A and Japan.

It's not just the US and Japan. Search and rescue teams from all over the world are being offered, many of them have only been home a couple of days after the quake in New Zealand.

Maybe, maybe not. Can we possibly be assured that the Japanese people will be fine? There has been plenty of aftershocks since Friday. Well, Japan has been through alot of bad stuff, like the 1923 Earthquake. They really got hurt during World War Two.
