I doubt any of them are. That would imply that people choose to be something they're not to be cool, which definitely happens, but it wouldn't in this case because it's still not seen as a good thing by a lot of people. There are still people who don't accept it at all. No one would choose to deal with that to be cool.

In my experiance with the autistic community it certainly sounds plausible. IMO the real question is whether it's the autism which 'causes' the higher likelyhood of being LGBT or if it's because autistic groups (especially online ones in the past 5 years) are more linked to intersectional activism and thus are more likely to have names to attach to parts of their identity and having a support network to freely talk about it.

If I were to play at being a psychiatrist, I'd say that the 'otherness' which autistics feel when confronted with neurotypical society makes it easier to question social norms which can include gender expectations. Even as a straight cis autistic I find some of the culture around gender to be alien. autistic masking needs an app
