Thank you, people pretending like they are in true love with each other instead of the many other reasons why they get married is why devorce is so high. If people would just accept that not everyone wants to be married for the same reason then people would do better.

Yes, once were are empty nesters there is no more reason to stay married. Staying married would just be boring and depressing, got to keep in touch with your kindred and go live life to the fullest without being tethered to someone else.

That would show terrible parenting skills which the courts take into account. If you tell the courts you divorced because you found out your reason for marriage love and his reason for marriage kids does not match up then you will never keep the kids. Saying that you are divorcing cause he loves the kids more than me does not help your case. Why would they give someone who is divorcing because they want to be loved more than the kids, custody ?
